When shopping for patio furniture, decide how much you want to spend. Depending upon your budget you could purchase a low end sat for a couple hundred bucks or spend thousands from a boutique dealer. High end patio furniture includes eco-furniture and handcrafted furniture.

If you've got the budget you can purchase Bolivian and Brazilian hardwood patio furniture. These woods will last far longer than less expensive teak furniture. In fact, they last long enough to be passed down from generation to generation.

If you are interested in green living, look for patio furniture that is FSC certified. This means the furniture is made from wood that has been harvested according to strict timber management guidelines to prevent deforestation. FSC certified furniture is stamped for authenticity.
