Everybody loves to swim during the summer, but maybe it's time to look at and backyard pools instead of heading out to the beach. A trip to the ocean requires a long drive, planning, and occupying the kids. With a pool you can relax in the comfort of your backyard.

In fact, backyard pools can even be portable. You can easily set one up in your yard within hours. Imagine you and your kids splashing in the pool on the first hot day of summer.

Would you believe that backyard pools can be inflatable? Intex sells a 15 foot inflatable pool that will fit the whole family and will probably last a few years. Of course, if you want to go high-end, call a contractor to install an in the ground concrete pool.
